About Zhween
Empowering children's education through innovative and engaging learning materials
Our Story
Zhween was established in 2022 as an idea and became reality in 2023. We provide educational materials for children aged 3–8 years in Kurdish and English, with plans to expand to Arabic. We are the first in Iraq and the Kurdistan region to offer these services at scale.
We built this to solve the challenge teachers face finding Kurdish resources online and spending hours creating materials. In international schools in Erbil, foreign students and parents requested Kurdish learning resources. We created Zhween to help teachers and students focus on learning.
Our mission is to create interesting play-based teaching materials that make learning fun. Teachers and parents may use our free worksheets for group lessons with kindergarten children. We are open to new ideas—share yours and we will try to implement it.
